Lots of character. But tannins still a bit high and perhaps they will soften and the wine will integrate more - will leave other bottles in cellar a few years. But it’s good quality, with tons of violet and dark fruits, and some green pine leaves.

A really impressive wine. Red fruit, herbs and a distinct roast overture. Showing well. More complexity than I expected. A long finish. Overall, a real crowd pleasure and a lovely wine at this price point.

Well-made, complex, South African red wine that I liked. Uncorked about 3 hours before drinking, which seemed appropriate. In its secondary and moving to tertiary stage now. Had a medium minus body that seemed lighter than the intense blood/iron flavors I had on the palate. Seemed like it was light on tannic structure, sort of like a "Rocks AVA lite" impression. Semi-dry with a medium lingering finish. We drank without food, which worked fine, It would pair well with a …

This showed very well this evening. I did not expect such a complex wine. Nose was tobacco, meaty, chalk, with a hint of perfume and fruit. Full bodied with tannins 7/10. Minimal decanting for 30 mins. Would be great to see after a few hours. Fruity yet not overpowering.

This wine was brought by my father for all of us to try. This was a PNP, but before I got to tasting this wine it was in the glass and decanter for around an hour and a half. The color is garnet which to me means mainly red with a slight brown hue, more red than brick and it is clear, not cloudy. One part that can really leave an impression on me within a wine is the nose …

Medium to deep garnet in colour. A fragrant perfumed nose with violets, black pepper, baking spice, chocolate, raspberry and ripe red cherry - very appealing! The palate opens softly with a smooth texture and ripe, juicy fruit, before intensifying to reveal more prominent notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, pepper and mace. Delineated by a dry texture, the wine boasts vibrant acidity and finishes medium to long. The closest brings a scrub-like, bracken character, whilst there is equally a rising volatility that …

Platter tasting (By UG) : Purple red. In the bouquet some clove, menthol and eucalyptus. Same on the palate with also some tea. Good balance between sweetness and acidity.
