Still holding together. Nice round red berry fruit with some grippy tannins. Pretty short on the palate though. Drink up.

Attractive aroma of red fruits and vanilla. Hot in the mouth, reading much higher than the advertised 13.5% alcohol. Full flavored though with a hint of tobacco, nice dark fruits, vanilla, and licorice. An interesting bitter edge on the finish. Still drinking fresh.

Dark color, lots of dark fruit and oak on the nose. Think this may have passed its peak and be on the downward slope. Still drinkable, though, with a full mouthfeel, lots of dark fruit and oak on the palate. Good depth and a pleasing finish. Much better than anticipated, but drink soon.

A blend of your of the five estate vineyards. Complex and spicy on the nose fairly layered complexity. Touch of spicy green brine note to it. Ripe on the palate. But with good structured.

Light color, nose of berries, mocha, some licorice, on a palate - high acidity and still high on tannin; medium finish. I am not sure this one will improve in the future...

So vibrant on the nose. On the palate, this is tangy, delightful, structured yet open for business. So much earthy-spicy-tart fruit complexity. A beauty, would love to retaste in two or three years to see what happens with these earthy/herbal elements.

Some Cali Red Samples (My Place - Washington, DC) : moderate ruby color, not exactly bright. Nose of tart raspberries, blackberries, sweet strawberry jam, notes of pipe smoke, menthol, pine needles and vanilla cola. Fleshy with moderate tannins, medium acid, chewy but tangy fruit (red and black cherries, tart blueberries). Notes of mocha, cedar, fig cookie, vanilla cola, a sense of loamy complexity. Tart fruit elements, but rich with lots of non-fruit elements. Could use a few years or some …

This is a classy, multi-faceted wine. 13.5% alcohol. Medium/medium-full bodied visually and on the palate. Shows like a cool climate Merlot with good ripeness. Dusty strawberries and red licorice on the nose. Tart cherries on the palate with supporting toffee notes on the palate with trailing green pepper (just a hint!) and cinammon. Long finish. Nice stuff. Sample for review.

Actually not bad. I would describe as warm, full flavor not overly fruity. The finish was mediocre but the taste decent.
