Wineries Tamar & Vic Jan 25; 1/13/2025-1/20/2025 (Tamar, Glenrowan) : {vinolok, A$35} Toffee and tea with a caramel accent. Tasty cold tea on the palate but always fresh and lively. Medium-sweet with medium/high acidity. Medium-long finish. Very good and outstanding value for the 750ml bottle.

On tour with Tim and Phil day three (Beechworth and Glenrowan) : Raisins, touch of alcohol prickle, toffee over caramel, plenty of oaky sweet spice, fresh acid helps with the sweet (and probably lusciously high) sugar levels, lacks complexity.

Winery visits Jan 2023; 1/13/2023-1/27/2023 (Vic, Tas) : {vinolok, 17%, A$35} Caramel, tea, butterscotch. High acid, medium/sweet, medium weight. Has a honeyed, ginger-and-sultana sweetness on the palate. Sits on the front of the tongue a bit, however.
