Domaine Arlaud Morey St. Denis 1er Cru 2015 Aux Chéseaux: Deep Ruby. Good dark fruit aromas with a whiff of oak. Dark fruit with some brambly flavors and spice on palate. Mouth filling with good intensity and nice long finish but a touch of bitterness and moderate complexity. Still dominantly primary fruit. Solid

Ripe dark fruit, some earth and stone flavors, rich, round and velvety, but with some underlying muscle. Just entering the peak maturity zone, with plenty of time to go. Excellent bottle.

Retains good colour; an earthy, chunkiness, some unresolved tannin. Has depth & the fruit to hold up well for 5+ years

A nice surprise and unexpectedly welcoming and enjoyable for a 2013. Soft, silky already well within its drinking window, soft dark fruits, light oaky feel, soft spice. Very much a Burgundian pinot. Very pretty 91+

This is a very fruit driven pinot.Neutral to slight fruit nose, good acidity, tannins noticeable but not dominant. This has loads of dark fruit flavours that coat and last on the palate giving this a long length. A sweetness from the fruit hits your mouth initially and that blends in with the tannins with each glass to give this pinot an excellent balance. Drinks well early and will age well. Another great MSD 1er Cru from Arlaud.

Amazing as allways. Arlaud is really, really, really good. A top shelf burgundy for a mid shelf price. Will leave my other bottles in the cellar for a couple of years though.

Decanted for an hour before serving to help reduce the reduction. The wine performed quite well post decanting, showing purple cherries, wild strawberries and minerals, on the palate, it was well structured with darker berries and spices yet balanced with minerals and smooth texture. Probably best to enjoy after another 3-4 years in bottle.

Monthly Tasting Group HWS #134; Morey Saint Denis (By VD) : Earth, forest floor, mushrooms and some pleasant barnyard in the complex bouquet. On the palate expressive and complex, with mature and spicy autumn impressions and beautiful acidity. Beautiful wine at its perfect peak.

Vindredi (2015 Red Burgundies) (Bellevue, WA) : Rose petals, wood spice, earth on the nose. Red cherry, strawberry, and spice, all wrapped together in a lovely mouthfeel. Fine tannins and good, if slightly tart, acid to finish. Beautiful!

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL) : Tasting, brief note. Black, red and blue berries throughout with moderate weight, very good length. Slightly firm start and middle, then more nuanced and complex long finish. Tasty now, but very good 91+ point potential, 2021 forward.

Big nose of complex, mustard-driven spices. Then in the mouth, deep, dark black raspberry fruit with incredible balance. A superb performer, and outclasses the Ruchots in this vintage.

Dark purple, nose of dark fruit, blackberry, spices, mint. Very good mid mouth presence. Nos as good as 2012 but better than 2014 in my view. Great QPR Burg. 93+

Burgundy dinner; 5/11/2017-5/12/2017 (Singapore) : Garnet, animal notes on the nose, dark fruit, too strict and angular on the palate on the palate for my taste, short to medium length. If a Bordeaux, this is like a 90s Leoville Barton in an off vintage, a style I don't mind for Bdx but for Burgundy would like a bit more charms and 'joie de vivre' 90-91

On the nose lots of reduction. No very generous on the palate - slightly vegetal in fact, rather angular tannins, decent length. Very difficult. Not sure about this tasting (barrel) sample.

A Little past its prime but still good, although a bit funky. Good earthy flavour. Likely would have been delicious a few years ago.

This wine looked quite advanced with brick red color and browning around the edges. Muted in aroma and not especially interesting on the palate, I felt this may have some heat damage issues and/or is not correct. Other recent Cellartracker notes do not sound like this bottle. I have a couple more but they are sourced from the same retailer. I will check in on them soon.

We decanted as it felt it had a bit of a fizz on the palate which went away with this. Open on the nose full of fresh young red fruits. On the palate it has a nice lightness to it, touch of sweet core, lots of fruit and although it has a young feel to it, its nice time to be enjoyed. Good wine, more of a good village than a 1er but smiles all around. 90-91

Youthful looking. Brambly black fruit and licorice-very Morey in its bristling character. Excellent acidity and really good volume for an '07. Some remaining tannins. Exceeded my expectations.
