Still very good. Plum, cherry. A little thinner than what I remembered in the past

The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle.

Incredible, especially after decanting for about 90 minutes. Notes of dark fruit, such as blackberries, dark red cherry, currants, plum. Quite velvety. Tannins soften after decanting. Delicious.

Black currants, plum, blackberry fruit, combine with mocha, graphite, some herbal character (thyme), violets and a slight smoky flavor wrapped in soft and well integrated tannins and a deft bit of oak. Leaner and more elegant than many Napa cabs but typical of the vintage. Probably not going to improve much with time but certainly not dead.

Under-whelmed... minimal fruit, bland. Will let the rest of bottles lay down for a few more years, maybe something magical will happen.

F me. Decanted 2.5 hrs only to find a sh1tbowl in the decanter. Cork was ever so slightly raised, so should’ve suspected

A beautiful, more elegant styled Cabernet reminiscent of many other 2011 Napa Valley red wines. This wine feels like it is just now coming into its place. The nose is full of plum, leather, spice and a touch of oak. The palate is soft and elegant with notes of black fruits, oak, spice, and earth all rounded out with gorgeous soft tannins and bright acidity. The finish is incredibly long with nice touches of spice and tannin and while the …

This was the last of my three bottles purchased directly from the winery and whether you like "mountain fruit" or not, this wine was very well put together in such a challenging vintage. Had such a pretty way about it, no hard edges and a nice mixture of red and blue fruit. The price point will always be an issue with this winery, but at least you know you will be drinking a thoughtfully made wine.

Very young, stemmy light cab. It took about two hours of decant to concentrate and integrate. Very elegant wine with some rough edges. Very good wine in tough year. Will try again in about 5 years

Starts off very strong with loads of ripe fruit. Second day was distinctly faded. Not made for the long haul but very pleasurable to consume right now.

Nice wine. Hold for it to evolve to greater complexity. 2011's will be rare as it is a lesser vintage.

not typical napa cab. probably some of it related to vintage. almost tasted like a rich pinot noir. Fruity, lush complex bouquet, intensified after about 2 hours double decant, soft tannins long finish

Winery direct and opened after 1 month in storage. Dark ruby with no distinct floral or fruit forward smell. The nose is strong, but that of alcohol without detectable heat, strange. Taste is feminine and soft with a satin texture that reveals sweet red berries. Not complex by any means, but quality is very noticeable despite being produced in a challenging vintage. Mild acidity coupled with soft tannins results in a wine approachable now as a long shelf life isn't …

US Cabernet/Blends and Bordeaux Tasting (Knightsbridge) : Spice, perfumed florals and dark fruits with a nice funky undertone adding complexity. Balanced. Pretty.

Consistent with the bottle tried at the winery a few weeks ago. Delicious now and has the mineral structure to hold quite well.

From 750ml that had been decanting 4hrs at the estate. Dark berry, currant, plum and black truffle, with a lovely cigar ash note too. Fine tannins and great ripeness for the vintage. Lovely mineral notes. Very well balanced with a lengthy, textured finish. I didn't pick up any underripe character.

Heritage Grand Wine Tasting (Ritz-Carlton - Chicago, IL) : Big and bold blue fruit. Lush. Very much in line with that Merus styling. Long finish. Very structured.
