Lange Pinot Noir Classique

I liked this more than I expected. Very well rounded. Its fruity but has some oak and earthiness

Very good wine, can't say I remember the night well. but I drank it quickly and that's enough to know that I enjoyed it. Will get another (hopefully) so I can give an appropriate rating.

Pale ruby. Notes of cherry, raspberry, cranberry. Hints of earth, vanilla, and smoke. Dry, high acidity and low tannins. Balanced and easy to enjoy.

Eye: dark garnet. Nose: cherries, floral, slight herbal and red pepper notes. Palate: lively, nice acidity, balanced fruit, medium finish. Very pleasant.

Retail $32. Responsible Bottle (527g; 1lb 2.5oz). Under screw cap. This is the top wine, in terms of production, for Lange with about 9,500 cases made in 2022. Jesse Lange called 2022 "a classic Willamette vintage" with both ample fruit and great acidity (apparently, a warm and dry October was key). While some sourced fruit is included, over 75% comes from the estate and the Freedom Hill Vineyard which Lange has been sourcing since the mid-90s. Great fruit from the …
