Nice fruit and funk on the nose. However, not much on palate or finish. Punches it’s weight.

Pale gold. Nose of mown grass, citrus, white stone. Layers of tart grapefruit, some apple sweetness, melon, and stone on the palate. Longer finish of crisp white pear, lime, tart lemon. Quite good.

Lemon and lemon/lime citrus, chalk and minerals, and hints of grass. Acids are present but seemed to have mellowed since early 2019 still very enjoyable.

A good, not great, Sancerre. Plenty of chalk, along with some citrus.

Like this: crisp lemon, mineral backbone, wet rocks, some lime, good weight with a nice finish. Well done!

Pale off-white. Nice crisp and firm wine with relatively high acidity. Mostly lemon lime flavors, very dry.

Australia day 2019 (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street) : A little wet hay, grass, gooseberry, fresh herbs…arguably very 'correct'. In the mouth juicy acidity, a little green fruit; gooseberry, a smidge of front of mouth grip. Finishes fresh and long. Pleasant

Flavorsome wine. It boasts enticing aromas of lychees, gooseberries, hay, and a touch of rambutan. It’s crisp, racy, and bone dry, with agreeable weight and vinosity to the juicy lime and green apricot flavors. Wet stones and lime zest invigorate the finish. Sancerre done right.

A solid effort for Lucien Crochet, the 2016 Sancerre is a light yellow, clean and crisply acidic white with notes of lime zest, lemon verbena, freshly cut hay and ginger. Light-bodied, seamlessly alcoholic (13%) and without detectable oak, it has good mid-palate presence. Closing with medium length and excellent lift, this screams for grilled branzino or similar fare. Drink now-2021.
