Good/Very Good. I stand by earlier assessment. It is more Merlot-like than Syrah. Coffee and cocoa notes. Alcohol on the nose, but not on the palate. Good with dinner; good after dinner on its own. <Wow/Very Good/Good/Fair/Poor>

Good. Cocoa and coffee notes, which is odd for a syrah. It is more like a merlot than syrah. Yet, it is yummy. Dark and rich and good on its own after dinner. <Wow/Very Good/Good/Fair/Plonk>

Very Good. Popped and poured. Inky dark; red fruit on the nose; dark fruit on the palate with a slight chocolate finish. Reminds me more of good Aussie shiraz than French syrah. It was a hit with my friends. <Wow/Very Good/Good/Fair/Plonk>

Good/Very good. Let this sit for about half an hour after opening. It is initially a bit hot. After 30 minutes it opened up with lots of chocolate and spice. This wine reminds me of a dessert, not a sweet dessert, but something like dark chocolate mousse. It is a food wine. Enjoy. Wow/Very good/Good/Fair/Plonk

Wonderful. Dark and leggy. Chocolate and spice. I had a glass in a restaurant with duck confit and it was a great complement. I like this so much, I intend to add some to my cellar to let it age for a few years. It should mature into something beautiful.
