Pale garnet in the glass. Light-bodied, dry, smooth tannins, with soft acidity. Primary dark fruit aromas of blackcurrant and olive. Red fruit aroma of sour cherry. Vegetable aroma of green bell pepper, and herbal aroma of dried oregano, with a faint hint of cured meat. Little to no oak. Dark fruit note of olive brine, red fruit note of tart cherry, and tomato. The finish is both vegetal, and herbal, with a short finish.

Definitely in worse shape than the previous bottle we opened last year. This one is quite rusty-brownish in color. Lots of iron and dried cherry on the nose. Not oxidized, but rather lifeless. Quite flat with very little fruit left.

To be fair I had no expectations when I pulled this out of the cellar today. Just the need to taste something wet and red while we wait for the boeuf bourguignon to do it's thing in the oven (repeating last weekend's dinner because it was just so good). This is a very inexpensive, nothing special, no more than $10-when-I-bought-it bottle that's been lying forgotten in the cellar for more than a decade. The color is a translucent brick red …

Another really nice bottle. Still some fruit left, well balanced with slightly pronounced acidity. A little thin but good length. Nice!

Alone, this wine is an 86 at best, but I gave it a 90 after I blended it 50/50 with a 1998 Bordeaux that was past peak. Together these 2 were really impressive. So, I recommend buying wines like this, still in their youth, and blending them with older Bordeaux wines that are in decline.

Better than expected, it performed well with lean flat iron steak. The tannins are settled, yet giving a backbone. The overall balance is good and rounded, despite the wine lacks finesse and is quite middle-of-the-road in style. 2015 is possibly at its peak now.

Color: Transparent ruby. Nose: Somewhat fruity, a hint of something funky. Mouth: Red berries, raspberries but not very expressive. Quite short. There is an appetizing freshness. Finish a bit bitter what I don't mind with food. Medium bodied. A good simple table wine for every day. However you will find the same quality for much less money.

Medium ruby colour. Developing with med (+) intensity of roses, black plums, cooked black cherries, white pepper, vanilla, cedar, earthy, meaty. On the palate it is dry with medium (+) acidity, medium (+) tannins. Body is med(+) and alcohol medium. Flavour intensity is med (+) and palate has cooked cherries, savoury, tomato leaf. Quality is good with only acceptable complexity, drink now and not suitable for much further aging.

Medium bodied; primarily blackberry and black currant fruits. Earthy, savoury, medium tannin with a slightly sour finish. Lacking any mid-palate richness. Okay, without being exciting. Good mid week wine with a hearty stew.

12% alcohol. Somewhat translucent and moderately developed, maroon-hued cherry red color that turns quite pale towards the rim. The nose is sweet and developed with aromas of wizened dark fruits, an odd streak of something buttery, some ripe dark berries, a little bit of herbal character and a hint of strawberries. The wine feels quite full-bodied, somewhat soft and round on the palate with ripe, dry-ish flavors of strawberries and succulent plums, some developed tobacco character, a little bit of …

Beautiful bright red in colour, one often easily mistaken is a glass of red Burgundy! Of course, once you take a whiff, it is unmistakenly a glass of Bordeaux, you have some lovely bouquet of sweet strawberries, little raspberries, a hint of cold steel! Simple palate but a mouthful of red fruits, a little young, a little harsh, all in all, a very good table wine and I need a good ham sandwich to pair it! This is not for …

Bought for HKD63 (~EUR7/ USD8/ GBP6). Great value and the excellent 2015 vintage helped a lot. At nose the Cabernet showed very nicely the dark fruits. On palate the bitterness from Merlot came forward and more sweet fruit and oak flavours like Vanilla at the back. Very little but fine tannin. It's a bit light as what's lacking is just the acidity. For this price it's a must buy as a daily drink.

tastes fake and funky in a bad way. not sure how they made cheap bordeaux back then but while this is still drinkable it's mostly unpleasant. air does help though if you happen to have this wine. Edit: this sat in a decanter for about a week and did become much more tolerable, almost enjoyable dare i say!

Philippe de Rothschild was supposed to have said "...judge me by my Mouton-Cadet." So I put one away from a good vintage, and here's the judging...: Deep crimson w some staining - nose is slightly muted, but cigar box, a hint of capsicum - Classic Cab - palate has good fruit, it is smooth but has good grip - lacks depth mid-palate and finishes a bit short, but served blind, this could well be mistaken for something more than the …

Blackberries and smoke in this smooth acidic wine. The wine looks ruby colored. Long finish. I see that 57% of Cellartracker users' bottles have not been drunk yet. I recommend that you drink this wine up now. I don't think it will improve any further.

Found this old party wine hiding in my cellar. Opened it expecting it to be bad… a 16 year old $12 wine. A huge surprise… it was fine. In fact, had improved over the years in my 56 degree cellar. Color still good. It was pleasant though rather simple.

I was impressed given the low scores from others and that I'm drinking it a couple of years post prime. This is not going to be confused with a grand Cru, but it's a decent wine. No pronounced tanins, in fact not as much body as would be expected given the age. That said its fruit is nice, medium dark plum and a little tobacco with a very even finish.

From a famous label of the Rothschilds, this Bordeaux is an elegant and structured blend of Merlot, C. Sauvignon and some C. Franc. Make sure you let it breath some, but then you get full blackberry taste with hints of pepper and laurel. Great finish.

Characterless wine without a distinctive profile. Well-balanced but flat and more or less boring in its eager will to please. Given the price point, there is far better stuff out there in this category where you get more wine for your buck instead of paying for the name and the label and then pass on enjoyment.

The wine has a clean, brilliant cherry red color. The nose is very attractive, on morello cherry and ripe berry fruit aromas with a highly elegant floral touch. From a round and smooth attack with well-integrated tannins, the wine remains silky while developing a muscular structure on the palate, complex, substantial and full of fruit, with juicy fresh fruit flavors reminiscent of raspberry and black cherry. The refinement, volume and length of the seductive finish show perfect balance in the …
