Very good, but lacking complication. Great viscosity. The 2005 Franz Karl Schmitt Spatlese I thought was a declassified Auslese wins out in a direct taste comparison.

Nice amber color with good legs. Nose is a bit weak, with hints of peach. Medium, syrupy body. Interesting tanginess and a long finish.

clear, medium-deep gold with legs. clean, medium, youthful nose of apricot (perhaps dried apricot). sweet, med-high acid, low tannin, low alcohol, med(+) body. medium intensity flavors of apricot and green apple. very good quality, long finish.
