My second time tasting this wine, and just as good as the first. This is an excellent Brunello that will get only better with age. It was well received with Christmas dinner. I have one more bottle that I plan to drink in two more years. Def worth the $75 price tag.

At Barolo East in NYC - our group drank 2 bottles which were decanted for us. Deep red fruit on the nose. The palate was red berries, plums, cherry and leather. The finish was moderately long and smooth.

My first time tasting an Altero wine, but certainly not my last. I placed my Brunello in a decanter and I let it sit for many hours. The 2017 Poggio Antico Altero is a classic in the making. In five years this wine will be spectacular. For now, it is very nice. Tannin's are light, and the wine has a fair amount of fruit. Buy as much as you can afford and be patient. Is it worth $75 a bottle? …
