Rivetti & Lauro Valtellina Superiore 'Uì' Riserva

Decanted for an hour. Aged in a mix of botti and French oak barriques (not so common in Valtellina). Rose petal, cherry, old leather,smoke, smoked meat (beef jerky) that all combine with a little bit of cedar and oak characteristics. Medium + body and medium tannins (mostly from the oak). The oak turns the typically lean structre of Valtellina on its head here, and overall it's an interesting wine.
