Fine well-made Rhone, but not sure it's worth $27.

Tho it's young, judging from the previous notes on this wine and having tasted a 2020 Châteauneuf-du-Pape recently that was lovely and quite drinkable, I decided to open this and try it against a 2015 Gigondas. This is a medium intensity Châteauneuf-du-Pape marked by an unexpected green olive + blueberry character — a trait one might expect from Cabernet Franc or Sauvignon — tho not exactly the same. There's something else going on as well: An odd aldehyde? Raisins? Of …

Strong mineral entry, with some blood and animal notes early. Some pronounced garrigue notes backed by tons of red fruit. Light and refined on the palate for its age. Very happy with this for the price.

PnP. Beautiful nose of garrigue. Fresh and focused on the palate...after a brief bit of air it opened right up. Meduim-bodied and fairly light on its feet and nicely balanced. Lingering finish. Looking forward to my two other bottles.

Tremendous find. Solid fruit with clove on the finish and spice cabinet nose.

Very clean and vibrant wine. A bit closed at first, gets much better in the glass, clean cut fruit, a mineral touch at the end, very good lift. And of course all the fixers in term of green stamps on the back label .... 91+

Medium-bodied, elegant, silky, refined and soft, the wine is ripe, floral and juicy with a beautiful purity to the sweet, ripe red fruits. The wine was made blending 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre, 5% Cinsault and 5% Counoise.
