Excellent, still, with similar comments to January 2018, though some changes with age. 13.5% alc. Barrel ferment clearly has impact too. Colour: viscous golden yellow, with green tinges - not the light hue of previously Bouquet: apricot, honeysuckle, pear, considerable spice, with ginger, some vanilla from barrel ferment and lees Palate: all similar to bouquet, ginger, white pepper, honeyed stone fruits, silky creamy texture, full bodied but elegant, good acidity, long clean finish. A Viognier with heft and balance, not flab. More pear than apricot on the nose. An enticingly viscous texture. Acidity in balance with the fruit on the palate: great mouthfeel. Fades just a bit on the finish.

Casual wines with Pizza : Toast, lemon, lime and caramelised peaches. Nicely rich flavours, it doesn't have great complexity but it is drinking nicely right now.

Pale golden color with a greenish tinge. Nose showed light apricot flavors with floral overtones combined with some peach. Very strong but not excessive apricot flavors combined with oak on the palate. Flavors quite broad and aftertaste lasts very long. Crisp acidity still holding the wine well. On the whole, a very well made, balanced and pleasant wine.

Strikes very good middle ground b/w the lean zingy style and full blow apricot sweet approach. You have to search for the musk and ripe fruits here; rather more cool climate minerals and acid. In very good nick for 4 years and a well made wine but one does wonder just how good this varietal can ever beer (Australia, France of wherever else). Price tag will put many off.

Sadly my last bottle. Wonderful start to the evening and loved by all at the table. Very expressive with alluring notes of white flowers, apricot and peach. Great mouthfeel and juicy acid structure. Long finish. I find the oak a little heavyhanded which upsets the balance a little. But that's just nickpicking. Great bottle!

Well, this was a wonderful surprise. Presented as a viognier, but closer to Condrieu - floral notes, but not overwhelmingly perfumed, apricot, flinty and minerally, with a slightly oily mouth feel. Long finish. Tried early in the meal, then with cheese at the end - opened up well. Too bad I can't get any of this nearby!

Oak dominated upon opening. Needed 20-30 min in e decanter for the fruit to come through. And when it did, it was good. Good minerality and flavours. Aside from the slightly obtrusive oak, it was very delicious. Rather long finish too.

Really delicious wine this and one of my favorites. At a recent blind tasting this wine performed outstandingly well against some big names from Rhone. Honeyed stone fruits, citrus and spice on the nose with real concentration. This is backed up on the palate with lovely richness of flavor, stone fruit and honey again with vibrant citrus acidity and a lick of crushed rock minerality. Finishes long and clean

Popped and poured. Chilled and drank over 3 hours. No formal notes. Wow, this is a really good bottle of viognier. Not an overly oily texture but you can feel the weight of the wine on your palate, yet at the same time vibrant from all the flavours and acid. Good midpalate citrus coming up with notes of oak influence. The flavours evolved over the lunch to something rather complex yet subtle with white flowers and hints of toastiness. Finish …

A solid effort, but I enjoyed this wine more in its youth. Nose is dominated by apricot, peach, honeysuckle and ginger, but there is a distracting vanilla yoghurt aroma in the background that diminishes the flavour profile. There is good concentration on the palate and although it's a relatively heavy, full bodied wine, it avoids any signs of oiliness. Drink now.

As good as ever and held up so well over three days. Intense peach and lemon, some apricot and honey and orange blossom top notes, underpinned by ginger. More intensity in the mouth, a honeyed richness has added to the mouthfeel over the years, more peach and almost riesling-like citrus, lively acidity, a long ginger toast finish. You could almost eat this!

Lawrence's Birthday Dinner (Chao San Cuisine, Beach Road) : Took awhile to get going, then it was really good. A lot of oak on the nose at first, with nutty, salty, slightly toasty notes layered over ripe yellow fruit aromas with a little floral top-note. Hard to tell it was a Viognier under all that oak, until some honey, beeswax and spice scents floated out with time. No mistaking it on the palate though. Very nice here, with lightly honeyed …

Yellow / lime colour. Rich, oaky, fortified nose. Sherry like note on pallete along with nutmeg and other spice. Marzipan and honeysuckle. Medium length. Very nice.

Light yellow in colour the nose has apricot, pear and a hint of spice. The palate has concentrated fruit that centers around apricot and subtle musk stick. The wine has tremendous length and excellent complexity on the finish with ripe fruit, well proportioned acidity and understated spice providing an array of flavours and textures. Light gold in colour. On the nose apricots, musk, hints of orange blossom and lychee. In the mouth wow. hints of lemon, with nice acidity and fruit on the mid-palate. Plenty of weight to this wine with a very long finish clean finish. Its almost like a party in my mouth. This, in my opinion, is an excellent wine that paired extremely well with pork medallions.

Pale gold colour. Nose of apricot, honeysuckle and white peach. Also a little weird aroma I can't put my finger on. Acidity far from overbearing on the palate but definately not a flabby wine either; it's fresh and zingy with a touch of mineralite. A nice wine that shouldn't be consumed too cold.

Clonakilla, Yering Station, Olivier Taringa (Roof Terrace Australian Museum) : Nose: Nail Polish, Apricot conserve; the fruit is quite jammy Mouth: tart spiced apricot, some acidity, tannic grip, long finish which is quite bitter. Hmm, this grew on me - I initially marked it at 86 and then went back for seconds...Bit pricey for an Aussie Viognier but super-cheap compared to Condreiu...AUD45
