After a mildly unpleasant experience with my penultimate bottle a couple weeks ago, I decided not to wait on my final one any longer and hope for the best. Right off the bat, I got some unwelcome tartness that made it drink more like an oud bruin than a barleywine, confirming that it was turning. A damn shame, as this was awfully good fresh.

I cracked a bottle of this to celebrate both Halloween and having family in town. Unfortunately, all of us detected a sharpness that felt like it was beyond the Bruery tang I've come to expect. As it's unclear whether or not this is beginning to turn, I'm going to decline to give a full review and will likely check on my last bottle in the very near future.
