Nice nose when first opened. The wine had a fair amount of dark friut, but was still very acidic. Tannins where soft and nice. Finished the bottle the nextday. In the glass the wine had lost its floral bouquet, but had become more balanced and easier to drink.

Deep garnet, slight haze. Aromatic nose blackberry, black cherry, cinamon, licorice and sweet tobacco. Really enjoyed the earthy barnyard, mushroom trace. Well integrated oak and a hint of smoke. Pencil shavings. Medium body, smooth acidity, rounded tannins. Lacks intensity. Short finish. Nice pinot.

Hot, reductive, really out of balance. I wouldn't open this one anytime soon, though I'm not sure it will get any better.

Nice pinot, but probably needs a little more time to mature. Was not nearly as smooth and integrated as I've come to expect from Van Duzer... especially their single blocks.

Decanted for 1-hour. Dark garnet in color. Blackberry, earthiness, and spice (asian, cinnamon?) on the nose. Medium bodied with pleasant mouth feel. Nicely integrated yet firm tannins. Cherry kirsh with earthiness on the attack. Finishes with a tart/sour cherry and spice. Very meaty this wine, but not the best QPR.
