For a 12 year old wine this was exceptional. Lots of classic berry flavor, boysenberry, blueberries, and finishing off with dried fruits and even raisins. Medium body with medium finish length. I cannot believe how this wine stood the test of time! Brilliant and an unforgettable wine.

I would have to disagree with the last couple notes from 2 +yrs ago or this has evolved into a decent QPR wine. Under good storage since purchase this still has nice deep red color and fruit. While not terribly complex still a nice claret blend for pasta or as we had a sauteed chicken and mushrooms in lemon wine sauce. Would not hesitate to hold a little while longer as it seems to have enough to carry it maybe …

Cedar, menthol, white pepper, and dried cherries make up the nose of this wine. The tannins are very prominent on the palate, yet the finish was initially flat and unimpressive. You get less than what you pay for in this wine despite that it is moderately priced.

Medium ruby red in colour with a purplish edge - no clear signs of aging in the glass. Complex nose of black fruit (currant, berry, cherry, plums), fresh red fruit (raspberry, cherry), stewed red fruit, blueberry, licorice, anise, tar, smoke, leather, chocolate, violet, tobacco and earthiness. Still evolving with medium+ acidity and tannins, and a long, drying finish. Could definitely sit for at least another few years.

- Brick color with medium forming legs. It's unbalanced and has flavours of cloves and dusty with a medium/full body. Fleshy texture with a medium finish.

PnP through Nuance Wine Finer. Dark purple color. On the nose, dark fruit, some light oak. On the palate, a bit fruit forward with a tart finish. Some oak mixed in. Has some structure, but definitely more of a new world style. That said, I was expecting something much less based on the other notes, so I was pleasantly surprised. 88 pts. Still went very well with a nice steak. Aloha!

This is actually a good wine. It's been cellared 3.5 yrs. I was skeptical after seeing so many poor reviews over 2009-2011. But I guess the lesson here is - cellar your wine. Deep crimson, light currant and blackberry nose, and a med-firm body, not too overpowering oak.

I wasn't expecting such a nice wine. Maybe because I paid little in the USA compared to what I would have paid in Ontario.

Ripe blackfruit on the nose - blueberry, blackberry, plum, fine leather and sweetspice. On the palate is ripe blackberry, raspberry and vanilla. Medium body and acidity with fairly high tannins. Long tannic finish with blackberry and plum. Nice wine with some complexity and probably another couple of years to go.

Enjoyed this wine even though it was tasted against much more expensive wines. It had comparable aroma and taste with good tannins on the finish. Was a little lighter body then the expensive Napa Bordeaux blends it was compared against.

Clean, medium minus ruby in color. The nose is clean and developing, with medium minus intensity. The aromas are mostly black fruit (blackberries and black currant) and are quite pleasant. A touch of oak, but not too much. All the components are medium and are all in balance. Drink now, but has potential for aging. Overall this is a good to very good blend of Old World elegance and balance and New World fruit. I would definitely recommend it when …

Very pleasantly surprised with vintage as I have been dissappointed the last 5 years or so with Coppola Claret. Found this bottle to very balanced with decent fruit, oak, and mild tannins. Not a lot of depth. But good glass of wine to accompany Monday Night Football.

I was surprised when I pulled this bottle out of the brown bag at our blind Cab tasting. I was actually assuming it was going to be something cheaper. The nose was tight and I had a hard time pulling anything specific out of it. The mouthfeel was definitely the strong point on this wine. Round and smooth. The taste however was a bit tight just like the nose and again, hard to distinguish any standout flavors other than a …

Dark Garnet, almost crimson red color. Vanilla, black pepper, and a mixture of red and black fruits on the nose. Interesting mixture of the red and black fruits on the front palate, vegetal notes in the mid-palate, and an eventual fade to a pleasant strawberry finish tinged with bitterness and slight raspberry tanginess and sweetness. This is a suprisingly subtle wine that offers up background notes of slightly burnt coffee and cola as well as perhaps bitter cocoa. Unexpectedly complex. …

Starts off a little tight, especially since its an '07, but as it aerates, it starts to deepen in its flavors. Mildly syrupy in its bouquet, but it leaves the palate quicker than it smells like it should (which is good). Cuts through our Andouille (doesn't neutralize the spice, but tempers it) and is a very flavorful compliment. Paired with grilled steaks, this inexpensive daily drinker a winner! A great BBQ wine that will, in my experience with this winemaker …

Nez dense mais fermé au départ. En bouche, c'est décevant. Pas grand chose à se mettre sous la dent, quoi qu'il affiche une certaine longueur.
