Cristom Syrah Anna-Louise Vineyard

Medium ruby. Medium minus aromas if red cherry, strawberry, cranberry, vanilla, cocoa. Dry wine, medium alcohol & body. Medium plus acid

Spring Willamette Valley Trip; 3/6/2026-3/7/2026 : Light ruby center with fading. Beautiful fragrant mix of red berry and menthol/fennel. Medium to lighter body. Flowing, sweet entry with red fruit, very good acidity, youthful soil filled tannins that shorten the finish I love the elegance, salinity, and pure fruit here but would give it at least another 3 years to shed some of the structure.

Nose: Dark fruit. Palate: Warm seeded raspberry jam, noticeable oak, rustic tannins and seem disconnected from lower acid.

Currently a little closed, and needs at least a year to open up. More earthy, foraging fungi in the forest (which I also love) than fruit and warm oak, spice. Another very well-made wine by Cristom.
