Chablis Tasting Event (Bistro Moncur, Sydney) : Mealy notes, a sense of concentration grows in the glass, a little solids, stone fruit, rich in fact. Juicy tends to medium plus intensity acidity, stone fruit, textured grip, a little mealy here as well. Nice.

La Paulée New York Grand Tasting of 2022 Burgundy (Pier 60, New York) : Yellow/green. Seashell reduction on the nose. Light to medium bodied. Nice apple and pear, very good acidity, fine soil, and a trace of vanillin. Soft and fluid but not bright enough.

or a few years now, Moreau has been, in my opinion, at the level of the best Chablis producers (Dauvissat, Raveneau) but with his 2022, he has surpassed them all.

Mon coeur est en Vaillon! Cette cuvée nous fait toujours plaisir, même en jeunesse, et le 2022 confirme notre impression. Je dirais même que c’est un des meilleurs de l’appellation que j’aie goûté si peu de temps après son arrivée en cave. Équilibré, généreux et plein, avec la finale saline typée Chablis: excellent!

Another solid 2022, compared to Droin last week this had a touch more depth and complexity. Aromas of nectarines, citrus peel, white florals and nutmeg. The palate shows wonderful layers of orchard fruit, crushed stones,citrus peel and nutmeg. This is expressive , elegant and shows depth and precision, wonderful textures, long finish.
