Sempre Vive Petit Verdot

Wonderful bottle of wine. Deep purple color, dark cooked ripe fruits, unique smooth initial Tate with long tan induce finish. Erie

I don't know who would be reading this review if at all but... first time trying Petit Verdot blend. Long story short, it was okay. Tasted like a Cabernet with a finish that told you it's not really Cabernet. I found this to be less complex than Cabernet but I want to be fair and say that it was decent. I had this at Pax Americana in Houston. Second wine of the night. I wanted something bigger than the Syrah we had started with and a varietal my friends probably hadnt had before. This hit the spot. Tons of dark fruit and spice. I think it is in a sweetspot right now. Tannins have resolved to the point where they aren't overpowering, but it is still an imposing wine with good acidity.
