A bit rough out on a P&P. Enjoyable as it picked up air. Some tar and earth intersect with dark cherry fruit. Finish a bit short but flavors where there. Acid held it together nicely.

Good potential, but in a bit of a dumb phase. Blue fruits, veiled black cherry, filet mignon and light dried flowers on the nose. A little monolithic on the palate, with a very long finish. Potential for 92.

Medium (+) garnet color with light bricking edges. Aromas of dark and dark red fruits, liquor soaked cherries, earth, minerals, black tea, and flowers and potpourri. Medium (+) body, acid, and finish, with flavors of dark and dark red fruits, sour cherry, black tea, lemon, orange peel, iron, and dried meat. Perfect with our rigatoni "country style" (sausage, cannelini beans, broccoli), and drinking well with 30 mins. to an hour open. Some tannin still poking through post meal, so this …

90-92+ Day 1 pnp, seemed a little tight, decent structure, good acid, but didn't strike me overtly as Italian, dark fruit and big tannin. Day 2 was a different story. I got that Italian dry herb and plum nose, still nice structure but more mellow, tannin had good presence, a touch of dry flowers, herbs, plum and dust. Day 2 this hit the spot for me. Either open in advance or hold for another 5 years. Very good QpR, wish …

Decanted an hour or so and drank with dinner. Some red fruit and that great nebbiolo smokiness I was looking for. Nice pairing with an eggplant/tomato/red pepper/prosciuto sauce.

This bottle offered little beyond the structure. I tasted it immediately upon opening and over three hours in the decanter. It failed to budge much. Just not interesting at this time.

Took an hour or so to really open up but when it did nice floral dark fruit nose, on the palate tar, herbs, dark and deep cherry fruit, earth and some cedar. Balanced acid and tannin was medium not overwhelming. Really a fantastic bottle that should drink well for a number of years.

Pop n pour. Dark sweet cherry core, angular tannins, tar, tobacco, and just the right amount of barnyard to make this wine very complex. Paired with homemade fresh pasta at Rocco's. Extremely entertaining.

Best days 2-3. Intense nose of cedar, tar, menthol, herbs and dark fruit. The palate matches- the wood comes through but is matched well by bing cherry, red currant, earth, herbs and tar. Strong acidity and big tannins. Drink now with a decant but should age well for quite a while.

We had a Piedmont tasting with lots of Barolos, Barbarescos and Barbaras, and this wine was really singing. The tannins have softened and integrated but there is still a bit of acid and terrior; has a nice sweet note but is not too modern in style. A great value. I regret it was the last of my 4 bottles. .

Decanted and drank over 4 hours. Reticent, took a bit of teasing in the glass to bring out a great floral/red fruit nose. Cherry and bramble on the palate. Medium finish. Give it a couple more years?? 90-91. Watch the schmutz.

The best bottle yet - great acid, nice red fruits, clean finish. Only a short decant and it was ready to go, and paired beautifully with three mushroom pizza

Beautiful freshness in a relatively young Nebbiolo - bright fruits, loads of complexity on the nose when just opened, fades a bit with air. Lots of structure and acid, beautiful finish. Enjoyable now, but seems to be ready to go the distance as well

Needs a couple hours of time, but is very structured, with good red fruits and a long finish. Careful with the sediment, too

Ephemeral but beautiful, bright cherry, cranberry, flowers, meat. Eminently drinkable. Medium weight. Dry, tacky tannins contribute persistence. Grapey fruit and minerality.

Wow - I really liked this bottle a whole bunch - floral, bright fruit on the nose touch of leather/meat - carried through with a light bodied wine, nice strawberry and pomegranate with a hint of sweetness to it but not in a residual sugar way - touch of stewed mushrooms- tanins were integrated- Yes there were shortcomings here and there with this wine but with every swig I just kept saying - wow I like this alot - this …

Much better! Nicely balanced mid-weight with red berries and a distinctive cola note. Seamless. Medium length.

Medium dark color and bodied, with earthiness, leather, cranberry, and dried cherry fruits. Still plenty of tannins, but you can now tell that this wine has some age on it. Very nice.

Upon opening this one, I was a little worried as there was little nose and the body was dominated by bitter tannins. After decanting for about 2 hours, it really opened up. Sweet pepper, wet forest floor, pomegranate, and much smoother tannins. This wine is a baby and will easily last 5-6 years if not a decade.
