Pretty muted nose, with nothing special going on. Light fruity palate with a bit of spice.

Not as spicy and peppery as some Frappatos I have had, this was a light, medium bodied wine with predominate notes of cherries and other light berry fruits. Floral nose, clean but short finish. All in all an easy drinker and a nice way to get the palate started for the evening.

Juicy red fruit with earthy, savory, green, and floral notes, light, fresh, good acidity, refreshing and very easy to drink. Slight bitterness in the finish leaves the drinker thirsty for more. Quite an enjoyable wine.

Floral and cherry nose that is quite pleasing. Light fruity palate with a bit of spice on the back and a good hit of acid, that evolves into a tingle of tannic dryness.

Sicily-Wines of Firriato and Occhipinti (SF Wine Trading Company) : Light, clear red. Crisp and light weight. Snappy black cherry fruit, uplifting acidity, low tannins, and some soil on the finish. A pleasure.

This Sicilian is very Australian in style, good or bad: big jammy fruit flavors, some slight tannins, but easily drinkable young.

Medium red. Fresh red fruit nose (? carbonic), middle weight, friendly and forward with little tannin but a nice bit of earth for interest.

Very fruity both in nose and taste. Was actually very surprised at first taste. Siciilian wines are not super tuscan and should not be expected to be. Fun wine. Pleasing to all 4 who had it at dinner with chicken cutlets in spicy red pepper sauce.

Purple to ruby color, red fruit and perfume on the nose with a grapy undernote, which is said to be the signature charateristic of Frappato. dry, medium acidity/tannin/body, perfumed, red cherry and strawberry on the palate. medium (-) finish. p.s. Frappato is the crossing of Sangivese and another unidentified variety. Average 55 years old vine, 50 days maceration, 14 months in large Slovenia oak (to be fruity and elegant), no filtration.

Salty red fruits. Maybe strawberries grown oceanside with black pepper cracked on top? A little salumi in there too. But all harmonious. Palate is light and brisk, medium + finish, maybe even longer. Very long finish. Unusual. Worth exploring.

Worked well with meditarainan style cod fish and roasted potatoes. Little body with good cherry noise.

In glass two hours. Aromas offer some dank mildewy plums, and a general oddness to this stewed fruit aromas. Smells almost chemical, but certainly not in an artificial kind of way. The palate is soft, and offers those similar mildewed plum flavors, but not as intense here. It's fairly soft and creamy, with just slight acid. The finish dials up the acid, with more stewed funky plums. This is not really my cup of tea. Reading my note from the …
