Vriesenhof, Chardonnay, Stellenbosch

Pale golden colour. The note is tight and quite reserved with just a hint of celery. Smooth and easy drinking, almost a touch creamy with notes of ripe melon and banana. Quite a simple wine but well priced.

Plae yellow with a green hue, pleasant vibrant nose with a hint of toffee and ripe fruit to expect from an oaked chardonnay. Simple, easy quaffing wine with some body (from the oak) cream and smooth, not not complex, crisp acidity (maybe slightly too much, but something a year or two in bottle will not doubt cure, this is the 2010 vintage).
