Nice QPR here. Simple yet elegant pinot. Fresh asphalt and tar on the nose. Light bodied silky mouth feel with nice balanced acidity. Not a lot of fruit here but nice nonetheless.

Reminiscent of Savigny with its brambly fruit. Not complex, but nice tension between the acid and tannin. Give it another couple of years and drink it with turkey or chicken.

It's almost impossible to find a quality burgundy in the $20 range, but this wine really surprised me. Decanted in the glass for about 30 minutes and drank over the next hour. Nose was a bit muted but on the palate there was bright cherry and strawberry fruit, with a bit a spice. Wonderful food wine. This was much better than the bottle I opened in May of last year. Would certainly buy again for $20. Drink now or hold …
