Tasted blind. Really pretty nose of red fruit and cherries -- quite elegant and understated without being boring. Good acidity on the palate with red berries, blood orange, and tart fruit. Nice finish. This is in a great spot right now. Not the most complex of wines, but really enjoyable.

Bill's lunch, Geo's wine. Speaking of cool vintages, the cold and rainy '95 was passed over by the critics for lacking the generous fruit that had distinguished vintages like 91, 92 and 94. But lookie here: 20 years out, those wines are gone and this one's rocking. Beautifully mature but not decrepit with light raspberry fruit, potpourri, mushrooms and a touch of sandalwood incense. Lovely.
