From Grapes 2/25. Drink. In its best window now, tertiary flavors, rustic. Great with a hunk of meat or a roast bird.

Not too bad at age 25. Black currant and dark cherries still exist plus dark chocolate. Medium finish. Drink up.

Dark red/black. Aroma of blackberry, apple, ash. Flavour of cherry, blackberry again, oak, pine. Still quite tannic as though it will last a few more years, and maybe improve. Delicious.

Drank from a magnum that had been stored in decent but far from optimal conditions. Very garnet rim. Intense complex nose of fruit, oak and tertiary aromas. In a great spot. Liked by all, loved by some around the table.

plum, cassis, red fruit peep through a big tannic wine, some smoke and tobacco come through. got better with a 1.5 hour decant enjoyed through 3 hours. did not taste much of a change since the 1.5 mark.

Needs lots of air to calm down the strong vanilla/oaky nose. Nose: 8/10. Oak-dominated at first. after a while, nice red fruits/cherry, a bit of graphite. Palate: 8/10. Full bodied. Soft chalky tannin. Ripe fruits. Fruitcake. Finish: 8/10. Price: 9/10 ($44 2024). Enjoyment: 9/10. Would buy again: Maybe. Had a few bottles over the years, it's always good esp for the price and age.

Again very nice, the fruit from the merlot went well with the sweetness of the parsnip in the stew. The plum and blackberry is still there; altogether drinking well. Decanted two hours.

PnP after double decant and 15 mins glass time. Classic Claret, perfect drinking window, med body, balanced, good integration and long finish with resolved tannins. Nothing off. $37

Very good. Big modern style still has lots of fruit but you can taste the age as well. Excellent for the price.

This wine is ready to drink now, nothing to wait for. Opulent from the start, soft and delicious middle taste, lots of ripe fruits, nice long aftertaste. Great wine, highly recommended!

Initially an unappealing nose of varnish and rum pot and coffee. Needs air. Better after being open for a few hours. This is still quite tannic and chewy on the palate, with high acidity, tobacco leaves, rose petals, and a sweet oxidized plum and cherry fruit. A strange mix of tannic, sweet, salty, bloody and hot/alcoholic elements - almost tastes like a hot vintage Barolo with some age. No elegance here, but it works fine with food. I guess my …

Clearly in a perfect spot right now. Still very healthy red with no ageing apparent. Tannins nicely melted away giving rise to tertiary aromas. Unfortunately last bottle :(

I like this producer and buy a few bottles in most vintages. This 2010 is delicious. Mix of pure dark and red fruit, well balanced, acidity adding freshness to balance out all that fruit, and enough going on to keep it somewhat interesting. Tannins and alcohol are well integrated. This likely has more than a few good years left.

Decanted and back into cleaned bottle. A big, thick, modern style of wine. Plums, cassis, leather, cedar and a bit of tar. Medium bodied with tannins resolving nicely this is in a pretty good place. Good qpr and a good food wine.

Intense nose of blackcurrant jam and pencil shavings. In the mouth, concentrated sweet fruit and a deft dose of thick, dusty tannins. Good length. Fun to drink, albeit a bit one-dimensional. This may become more interesting with a bit more cellaring. But good to go with an entrecôte or a pizza.

Very nice. Smooth, rich fruits. Went very well with a beef rogan josh: enough fruit, not too tannic. Decanted 1.5 hours.

Decanted for an hour and back into cleaned bottle for serving with dinner. This is a big, modern, fruit forward style of wine. Lots of dark fruits, cassis, tobacco and cedar. Smooth, medium bodied with still resolving tannins, this should still show improvement with time. A useful wine.

Un nez invitant sur les notes secondaires/tertiaires, cerise kirshé, cuir. En bouche, fondu, du fruits mûrs, un poil extrait et de résiduel. Encore bcp de matière en bouteille.

Over the hill. Mostly just tertiary notes. Dusty leather, soy sauce, raisins, some sour cherry. A touch of rounded tannins balance out the acid some but it's well on the decline.

Gorgeous nose, turned earth, potting soil, light must, sandalwood, dried red fruits. Palate shows more structure than expected, still young tannins, fresher than the nose, dried black fruits, big style for Merlot. Excellent QPR.

This is drinking beautifully. Dark fruit, blueberries and blackberries with cedar, herbs and garrigue. It’s velvety and rich on the palate. Acidity is high and the tannins after 12 years are still quite grippy. Beautiful complexity, concentration and length. It’s drinking well now but still could go at least 5-10 more years easily.

30 min decant, cork half shredded. Properly aged in temperature controlled cellar. Wonderful Cocoa, pepper, dark fruit and earthy tertiary aromas and spice. Great qpr. If aging properly drink or feel free to hold a bit longer. Just be ready for the cork!

as of 2022: open an hour early; decanting would be OK, but haven't tried this approach yet. It really opens up after an hour or so. Quite lovely, classic Bordeaux. After one hour, boysenberry, cassis, frais des bois, blueberry, walnuts, raspberries, citrus, in layers. As we approach the last sip, cocoa and chocolate emerge. One must wonder what else there might be if we had more. One may have to open another as you get to the end.

Wine was properly stored from purchase upon release until consumed. Beautiful classic bordeaux bouquet: dark berries - blueberry, blackberry; then lighter berries come out - cassis, raspberry, strawberry. Lovely wine.

Bright blood red in colour. Wonderful nose of cedar and pine with lots of lush red berry and dark red cherrys. Quite delicate with the merlot and Cab Franc, brings in notes of white and blue flowers. Lush red and black berrys follow onto the palate, leather notes bring in some old world flavour. Very good balance after 15 years. Will continue here for a few years to come.

Very austere and closed one hour after opening. Needs strong aeration and begs for Food on day one. On Day two and three: Charming, fresh, fruity (in an old fashioned, matured style) and elegant, with decent structure and length. I just love this mixture of traditional structure, elegance and modern richness. Won´t improve but will Keep for another 5 years.

Fleshy and ripe for the vintage. Earthy, plummy with lots of cocoa, leather and some minerality. Pretty fully-bodied. For some reason, it's not my favorite style. But it is objectively good, it has a lot of substance and some complexity. Probably this is the peak and it won't improve much further.

-19 Magnum (com, koc’club); Dunkel-violett, fürs Alter recht schmaler oranger Rand.

Soft, dark fruits with some mushroom and tobacco. I thought this was pretty good and Ann really liked it. With air it gains some fruit and slight sweetness.
