Domaine Paul Croses Saint Véran

Kinda ordinary. Not spectacular in any way, but a serviceable French Chard. Lemon, minerals, and oak (too much). Good with food, but not so much by itself. Sticking with my earlier score.

Acidity and bitterness, with little fruit. Not much to like here. Better with food than by itself. I tried it colder, and also warmer, with little change in my impressions of this wine. Past vintages of this wine have been very nice, so I'm disappointed as much as anything. I put the remaining half bottle into the frig, with argon and a rubber stopper...for cooking?? Really nice French style chard. Pineapple, Stone minerality, pale straw. Fabulous QPR:.:

Wonderfully simple but elegant white burgundy. At 4 years old this drank younger, and could probably go another year or two (but why wait?)

Delicious sipper on a hot summer afternoon. Some butterscotch, lemony/pineapple citrus all in one. Bone dry. Would be great with fish (Salmon!) Dinner!

Consistent with last note. This is such a bargain compared to the ocean of dreck (cheap California chardonnay's) out there.

Jon has this dialed in - green apple, minerals, acids, all playing nicely for under $16. Good year, great producer, wonderful effort at a great price.

Nice summer white. Even my "red only" wife enjoyed this with some Mediterranean food. Good value.

Pleasant, but not very distinctive with some late night cheese and salami. Not many mineral notes, but a nice "deck" Burgundy for the price. Ready to drink in my opinion

Bought via Garagiste for <$17. One of the few I haven't been very impressed with. Just an okay white Burgundy for the price range of under $20.
