HDH Auction (Tru - Chicago, IL) : From magnum. Impressive wine. The nose was funky and earthy...some small red berries, but mostly mushroom and an animale musk that was so gorgeous. The palate was energetic with a sizable presence, lingering on the palate for what seems like minutes. So deep with its light florals and peach tones, there were also intoxicating sour cherries, truffle, strawberry and mineral. An amazing bottle of wine.

HDH auction tasting at Tru; 3/21/2014-3/22/2014 (Chicago, IL) : From magnum. Pale salmon colour. Very complex nose with aromas of orchard fruit balanced with a lot of that leesy aged champagne funk. The palate is simply intense and complex with a panoply of tart red fruit flavours that would take forever to describe. A slight chalky component. Incredibly fresh and delicious.
