Ripe pear and tropical fruit on the nose, with fine reductivity and minerality. Slightly buttery with a fine herb touch as well. Palate is rich and creamy with great tension and freshness. Oak is nicely integrated and finish is quite long.

First made in 2014, when the vineyard boundaries were redrawn. Always more reductive, and it is. really like this wine. at first thought it was SB since it was much leaner and lighter, and the acididy profile is a bit different too. instead of being linear (horizonal), it is still linear but it sticks towards the mouth, more direct and lean and does not feel soft like most chardonays do. flint, minerals, so salty. mineral driven wine, huge contrast to …

While the grape is Chardonnay, the nose is nothing reminiscent of a good white Burgundy. It is quite full, showing some oxidation. The palate is rich and heavy, succulent with moderate acidity - yet this wine leaves one unimpressed because it is plodding, earth-bound.
