Peter Paul Wines Cabernet Sauvignon Yountville Giuliani

Surprising for a Napa Cab. A little blackberry on the nose but predominately red fruits of cherry and some strawberry on the palate. Medium body and low tannins. The Italian influence is very evident...similar to a Super Tuscan. Not sure if further aging is warranted.

The wine seemed a bit out of balance. Possibly a touch of bottle shock. Seemed a bit wound up so hard to tell. I didn't love it but didn't dislike it either. I gave it some air but the wine seemed more loaded with spice, herbs and wood without the proper balance of fruit (and I don't like fruit forward wines).
