on the nose ripe dark fruits, cedar, liquorice, perfect Pairing to Steak or to drink by itself without Food. Very smooth.

This is a rare varietal in Australia and my prior experience is only 2005 Smidge Zinfandel The Tardy. Made by a producer who specialize in Merlot, this is truly an interesting wine. Medium dark ruby with brick crimson hue showing sign of development. My first impression is... Wow! Huge nose of sweet ripe fruits, blackberry, blueberry jam and fruit cake. But after a while the nose has became more complex with dark cherry, raspberry, dried prune, chocolate, hints of tobacco …
