Slightly translucent dark cherry color. Rich, sunny nose with aromas of cherry, baked prunes and a hint of alcohol. Dry-ish, rich and somewhat bitter palate with nuanced aromas of sour cherry, purple plums, sandy earth and a hint of cherry jam. Nice acidity and decent tannins that slowly creep up your gums. Tannic astringency creeps up into the long and juicy finish full of tart sour cherries and sweet prunes. A nice, balanced everyday Aglianico. I'm tempted to say that …
