The color is as impenetrably dark as the 2009 version of this wine we recently sampled. The nose is just as beautiful as the 2009, but with more vibrant aromas of dusty blueberry and blackberry, and a more concentrated bouquet, that is reminiscent of a blend of a voluptuous California Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and a lovely and elegant warm vintage Pauillac Lynch Bages. Great bottle but requires something pretty bold to stand up to it. I paired it with duck breast and duck fat sweet potatoes...not big enough. Needed a big ass steak. Dark and juicy on the front end but a bit of a rough tannin.

Wine of our pre Christmas weekend. This had great character and a few hints of age. Nose was soft, palate marked by bright cherry notes and tobacco. Great acidity left. Coarse tannins that went well with beef tenderloin and crusted pork roast.

Ive had this in my cellar for 3 years so decided to pop the cork today. Dark Crimson core with a garnet/ruby rim. The nose is amazing!! Red cherries, blueberry, roses, cedar, cigar box and spices. The pallate explodes with red cherries, tobacco, mid pallate full of spices, tart cherry, and beautiful velvety tannins that lead to a nice mid/long finish. - Brick color with slow forming legs and aromas of natural gas, prune, licorice anise, rose and tobacco and has flavours of dusty with a medium finish - Surprisingly young??!!! For a 2008. Dark red in color, herbal in the attack, lot of dry fruits. Need lot of time to aerating out and stabilized, day 3 closed cork, works out very well, there is no hurry on this one, it worth every ounce on the 2nd and 3rd day.

Absolutely top notch effort. This has to be one of the best Italian cabs I have had! Lots of cherries and cola, smoke and a long lingering finish. Smooth as silk after a 1 hour decant. Will hunt it down again.
