I've had a number of Delille roussannes in the past and would never have mistaken this bottle for what I recall of them. Past bottles were delicate and precise. This was very rich with notes of beer, chamomile, yellow plum jam and sea salt. Not a fan.

The surprise today was when I experimented and tasted it with chili.....it went remarkably well. The spice notes identified in earlier bottles found a nice pairing with the chili On its own, the fruit is easing back, coming more towards Rhone style mouthfeel

I had this after work on 7/31/18. It had a ripe and fragrant bouquet of pear, pineapple, quince, melon, bees’ wax and spice aromas. The palate was rich and ripe with good acidity…flavors of pear, quince, lime, spice and minerals.

Opened up wonderfully after a little time out of the fridge. Medium aromas of honey and citrus. Decent acid but not overdone. Solid finish. Paired well with rice and dumplings.

Paired with Ma Po Tofu. Lemon curd, savory chicken broth, a nice creaminess (but not Chardonnay like). Great with spicy Asian food.

Washington State, Red Mountain AVA (Landmarc @ the Time Warner Center) : Really nice for those that don't care for white wines or the ABC crowd. A rich mouthfeel with notes of tropical fruits. Medium acidity. Good finish. Not as acidic as Delille's Chaleur Estate Blanc. The 2 would make a nice side by side comparison.

Delicious wine. Fresh, balanced, poised and elegant. Pure, with juicy citrus, pear, melon and floral notes, laced with a mineral thread. Delightfully unoaked, with a fresh vibrant structure.
