Black fruit with menthol and mint on the nose. Palate had dark fruit and the minty note appearing but the fruit is fading giving more to the alcohol.

Lighter than the name would suggest - this was drinking well, quite nicely mature but with nice sweet fruit. Blackberry and blackcherry - good pure fruited WA red.

Absolutely fantastic bottle. At peak and drink beautifully. Wioderful nose and mouthfeel. Sweet in the mouth. Could not put the glass down!!

Slightly floral with cassis and cherries on the nose. The palate was hot with alcohol, eucalyptus and sour cherries. I still have 5 bottles left and wish I had drank them awhile ago because this is not getting better.

Intense cab, not overdone with the fruit and alcohol like many WA wines.

I like this wine with its rich color and flavor. Tannins still around but there was attenuation toward the finish. Wish I had more.

The 5th bottle of the inaugural vintage of "The Bully" for me and by the far most disappointing. Everything seems kosher on the nose as it exhibits some typical cab-ness...cassis liqueur, hints of spicy oak, and black cherries. It lost me on the palate so fast I thought I was back in Rome drunk on the metro at 2am. Wow! This is a BIG wine. 15.2% alcohol according to the back label. You wouldn't really know it by tasting it but you sure do feel it after a couple glasses. For all that alcohol, it does show good balance. The color is a deep dark red. The nose gives off classic Cabernet aromas with some vanilla, cassis, and cedar. Wonderful bottle, especially by a first-timer. Bold and beautiful, yet smooth. Highly recommend getting your hands on this if you can and watch for the next release.
