Babcock Pinot Noir Tri-Counties

Fall 2008 Housekeeping - Round 1; 8/29/2008-8/31/2008 (Down's Lake) : Ok, but obviously nothing super compelling. Nose is relatively rich as compared to the palate and has some nice earth and spice. The palate is dominated by sour cherry without a lot of secondary stuff going on. Fair amount of acidity. Does not have the richness or extracted character of other California pinots I've tasted. Pleasant, and probably better as a food wine than as a sipper. Fell apart on …
