his ‘17 Fortis from Pine Ridge was enjoyed at PRV along with 8 or so other wines from the portfolio. While this is bookmarked as the clear 'grand vin' from the estate, I found other bottles that I enjoyed more, mainly because they had a bit more structure to them. This is an absolute dark berry bomb, brooding blackberry and black currant. Secondary notes of pencil shavings and fresh green herbs. While fruit forward, I do find just enough acid …
