needs a lot of air to round out but when it does it is quite gorgeous. Aged notes of fallen apple and ginger spice but with a lovely acidity. with ample air it become rounder, plusher and just delicious.

This is great. Faint brown sugar with earth. You can taste the fruit but it is subdued and hard to describe with typical champagne words. Rich, cream soda flavors but with sufficient acid. In a good spot now. Plenty of time ahead.

Whoa, champagne geek alert. Looks like an orange wine, obviously lots of skin contact. Zero dosage isn't a great surprise as it comes across as very angluar. Citrus and acid bite. Fun and tasty but a food wine.

Pour le prix, correct sans plus. Amandes et pommes avec un peu de brioche, un peu mou mais assez long.

This pushes the limits of the, riper fruit - zero dosage, style a bit and stands out as "grower", rather than having a more classic profile. The fruitiness almost comes across as sweetness. Very red fruit driven and it almost felt a little flabby. I liked the more restrained Cognaux much better.

Disgorged 2012. Ready. Apples n brown sugar. Had with shrimp.

The nose on this was a bit funky with some earthy barnyard creeping in. On the palate also the funkiest, with more weight in the mouth feel (perhaps due to the 100% pinot noir), yeasty/briochy notes, with some funky oxidized honey - I liked the complexity. …
