Andresen, Late Bottled Vintage Port

Bought after enjoying the 20-year white a few weeks ago. This is almost as good - a somewhat fresher expression, with plenty of apricot and yellow peach fruit, less oak influence and a clean finish. Could do with slightly more acid for my palate, but it’s really pleasant overall.

Aged Tawnies & Vintage Ports - Sammamish Port Club (Seattle, Washington) : Bottled in 2002. Amber in color with a slight orange rim. Slightly musty nose at first, which gives way to nougat, almond, and light brown sugar. The palate is dense and rich with good lift from the acidity. Finishes long with caramelized nut character.

Purchased for $35 and consumed for #tawnytuesday. I don't know what it is, by my palate just loves everything from Andresen. This 20 is dark tawny in color, almost mahogany with a beautiful golden rim. The nose is explosive. As soon as you open the bottle, the scents explode and fill the area around the bottle. Purchased for $19. This is my first white Port and this was delicious. Absolutely gorgeous light amber color. Mouth watering notes of honey, stone fruit, marzipan. This is more like Sauternes than Tawny Port. Candied orange, honey, apricot. Lively and fresh acidity. This is really mouth watering. *Recommended*

Average white port, sweet and a bit spirity. Somewhat run-of-the-mill on the first day, showed an unusual malt-from-lager flavor on second day, sweet rum and spices after a few days. Would be a good choice for mixing as it won't impose itself much, but I'd rather have a Q. do Portal White Port for drinking straight.

Tasted as is (liked it very much), but then served as a brilliant PortoTonico with FewerTree Tonic, both, standard (served with pieces of orange) and Mediteranian (served with rosemary) tonic

Startet på den, 3/4 fl. igjen. Honning og fatlukt. Mild og rund. Honning og røyk. Passet perfekt til blå, hvit modnet og Chevre fra Grindal. Holder seg sikkert 10 år til (litt minus for at den er åpnet kanskje..). Kjøpes igjen!

This 2019 bottling shows dried quince and apricot, with raisin and fig on the palate. Long long finish with notes of wild flower honey, very sweet, was best served very slightly chilled.

It's a wonderful white Port with a solid qualitiy given the price.

Sweet but not too much.

Slightly watery and mostly taste a bit of diluted caramel. Hollow in the mid-palate. A bit boring and needs flavors but has an okay acidity.

Orange and caramel. Medium sweetness. Slighly bitter but also a creamy orange zest.

Interesting: fresh fruity with lemony notes. Unexpected but rather lovely

2011 vintage

Orange ferment nose Funk Rust. Grand Marnier. Sweet . Good elements in linear array. Nice mouth coat. Tartness on finish. Goes into orange kitkat and sweeter than I like. Solid, but could be a Cosmo.

Bottled 2017. Brown colour, smells of hazelnut and caramel, light body, not that sweet, in the mouth hazelnut, caramel and acidity, in the aftertaste also hazelnut, caramel and acidity, medium length (15 sec.), nice white Tawny, but there are better examples on the market.

Port Grab Bag (Sammamish, Washington) : Bottled in 2017. Clear, light yellow in color. Light tropical notes and citrus on the nose. Bright acidity with some tropical notes on the palate. Long finish with well-balanced acidity.

20 Year Old Tawny Ports (Sammamish, Washington) : Bottled in 2009. Amber brown in color with orange-yellow on the edges. Toffee and a touch of maple on the nose. Pine resin, medium-bodied, balanced acidity. Long finish with some slight bitterness son the finish.

Really interesting drink. Unusual to have aged white port. Dried fruit basis with burnt caramel.

2015 Port Harvest Tour; 9/26/2015-10/3/2015 (Portugal) : Bottled “last week.” Dark ruby purple in color. Opaque except for right at the very edge of the wine. Some eucalyptus and herbal notes on the nose, with some dark fruit underlying. Rich, vibrant cassis on the palate with great structure and well-balanced tannins. The nice tannins follow through on the long finish.

2011 vintage

Tasty "white tawny" - plenty of interest here. Treacle finish. $21.

A solid white tawny. Quite long on the finish, but probably a little simple

c - dark yellow/ brown n - caramel t - rich, medium-sweet, creamy, honey, quite a bit of booze, some lemony fruit and acidity, just a touch cloying but then a long nutty finish quite nice though would much prefer an amontillado

Bottled 2011. Raisins, quince, honey, spices, flowers, nuts, complex and pure, medium-dry, excellent length.

App: golden brown Aroma: dried fruit, cress, nuts, caramel Full-bodied. Lacking flavours on the palate. Short to medium

Color : deep amber. Nose : aromatic, sweet spices, gingerbread, musky. Palate : dry, full-body, fresh acidity, good balance, powerful. Aromas of gingerbread, toast almonds, sweet citrus notes. Very long finish.

Vinho com aspecto brilhante, límpido sem turvações ou partículas em suspensão, cor âmbar intensa, cativante, aroma limpo sem defeitos, com boa intensidade, elegante e harmonioso, a mel, nozes, um pouco citrino, sabor genuíno e equilibrado de intensidade média e de qualidade agradável, macio, viscoso, mas falta um pouco de persistência no final.

10 Year Old White Port by Andresen (bottled 2008) Sunday night Alex R. double blinded Cris and I with this one. Cris is learning Port quite well since he correctly guessed this was some kind of White Port. Lots of honey and citrus dominate the nose yet the underlying candied pecans give this very attractive aromas.
