A perfect Monday evening sipper, with fresh and salivating yellow citrus and white melon rind notes that hop around the palate, finishing with a soft limestone flavor that adds interest. There’s nothing overly academic or romantic here, but it’s a fun friend zone Chablis that makes for the perfect accompaniment to tofu and mixed vegetable wraps. Sealed with a synthetic closure. Drink now and over the next few years.

At restaurant Seb in Mont Tremblant. Pale color, nose of oyster shells, lemon rind, American Smarties. Good acid on palate, hint of oak smoke and a hint of butter (so maybe it’s been in oak?). Big upside surprise. Bought without searching on my phone. So pre-2015.
