The pizzaz, which was missing in my previous bottle from almost 3 years ago, made a grand entrance this evening. Great balance of sweetness and acidity with intense tropical fruit aromas and flavors, mostly coconut and pineapple. Very soft with a long finish. Great with our Asian fare this evening.

The Prüm Spätlese that we had the night before was better. But still, this wine went well with the dinner's Bulgarian chicken. As others have noted, there was just no pizzaz.

This 09 Auslese has a beautiful golden color, with notes of floral, honey, with peach and some citrus. This is all backed by a full body with a think and creamy texture that coats your palate. It all comes together on the finish leaving you begging for another sip. (Drink 2011 - 2020) JD92

This is like a very beautiful car that has all the right things, but somehow doesn't get you excited once you're behind the wheel. Good rich fruit, nice acidity, longish finish, but somehow no excitement. Perfectly fine drink at a reasonable price, but not memorable. Doesn't have the vibrant tension of a very good riesling. Drank over 4 days.

Grosser Ring Tasting of 2007 wines from the Nahe, Mosel, Saar and Ruwer (German Embassy, London) : Quite a wet slate nose. Zingy, vibrant palate. Very young feeling, but it augurs well for the future. 88-92/100
