Deep, dark garnet-purple, no thinning at the edges. Tight at first, but opens up with dark stone fruit and a little alcohol to dry. Lingering plummy finish. Could use another year or so in the cellar so worth stocking up on.

July 2019 Trip to the Finger Lakes; 7/27/2019-7/28/2019 (Seneca Lake) : Similar to the pinot noir in body and texture. Medium tannin and medium acidity. But much stronger fruit characteristics. Still the earthy notes, but the red fruits moved from the background to the foreground.
