Spoto Wines Godfather Red - Part II

An 80/20 blend of Merlot and Malbec. And super approachable early. Initially after cork pop, all you really get is Merlot. Lots of chocolate, black cherry on the front, darker notes in the middle and a finish that is rather tannic to a stiff young oak. I cannot believe that I haven't rated this wine! Compared to Godfather I, this wine is much more approachable out of the bottle. Poured a dark maroon into the glass. The nose was a lot of your typical Napa Merlot fruits. Brambleberry, hint of nitrogen, purple fruits. The entry is a touch acidic. Nice dark "bramble" fruits on the front. Full bodied, rounded.
