Snowden Cabernet Sauvignon Dum Spiro Spero

Decanted and drank over two hours. I was surprised how much I enjoyed this. Lovely wine giving all the trademarks of a finer Napa at a more reasonable price. Dark cherry, blueberry, graphite, plum notes. Still a little tight, but definitely approachable given the age. No smoke taint whatsoever. 91 points.

Sonoma and Napa Tastings - June 2024; 6/13/2024-6/15/2024 : The only 2020 red the winery produced. Fruit from Brothers and Los Ricos, with Cab Franc from Melchior Kemper, harvested before the fires. Aromas of black cherry, red licorice, eucalyptus, green pepper, cedar and tobacco. Succulent black fruit on the palate, with anise, five spice, nutmeg and tea secondary depth. Dense and chewy, with firm, smooth tannins and and moderate length on the finish.

Black and red fruit, a little on the liqueur-like side, bright for Napa however, nice spice and graphite, a little something leafy and veggie... Elegant and pure on the palate, gorgeous fruit, supple and open-knit, this is pretty much ready to go. Certainly worth following 5 to 10, but this has beautiful immediacy already.
