Very dark, deep and quite opaque ruby color with a slightly purple hue. Very open, nuanced nose of ripe dark berries, créme de cassis and some wet sous-bois hints. a bit disappointing, sharp dominant tannins, not much nose, was tight - probably needed more air( I gave it 30 mins). we had it with lemon, herbed roasted chicken which should have worked wonders. I've had better for the price, especially after dragging it across the atlantic in hand luggage :-)
