Delicious Champagne we shared to celebrate the birth of my nephew. The oldest bubbly I've enjoyed too, by a few years. Very vivid notes of red and yellow apples all over the nose and palate, plus faint touches of savory/salty accents like cheese danish (I've used the "apple/cheese danish" combo in several of my Champagne notes so far, but this really had it in spades.) Maybe a touch of white bread on the far finish. Deep golden autumn color and …

Light yellow with good mousse. Pleasant nose with notes of nougat, marzipan, overripe yellow apples, grilled lemon and a touch of candied tropical fruits and some brioche. Mouthfeel is full bodied, rich, with good acidity and notes of marzipan, nougat, brioche, grilled lemon, overripe yellow apples and some candied tropical fruits. With 8 years on the lees, this is a very tasty and very good champagne!

Pale yellow. Nose has notes of yellow apples and litchi. Mouthfeel is very fresh, very well balanced, with fresh acidity, just a touch of sweetness, and with notes of candied fruit and yellow apples. Good persistence.

Green apple, lemon, hint of biscuit. Just a touch of sweetness. Delicious.

Very well done demi-sec. Excellent balance. I really expected this to be overtly sweet, but this was not noticeably different than the bruts in our champagne tasting. Good acidity with nice, but not overwhelming, notes of brioche. Performs very well on its own, but would pair well with dessert or as an aperitif. 90-91.

Excellent vintage expression with crisp green apple skins and red Fuji apples fruitiness lifted by slight lime rinds. Fresh and almost racy but drinking well now.

Butterscotch, yeast, and baking spices on the nose. Mandarin orange and lemon zest on the palate with a good texture.
