Medium/full purple. Ripe & burnt black and blue fruits, sappy eucalyptus, mint, oak, vanilla, oak, jam, oak, alcohol, vanilla, black pepper, sour, roasted prune and fig. Dry, full body, high tannin (pine tar), high acid, high alcohol, intense in the mouth with a med finish. Overall, good- didn't care for it personally, can drink now, doubt it'll improve, but whatever... Bummed I dropped the cash on this, $40 USD. Coulda had some Carlisle or Bedrock.

Great value. Decanted for two hours, with the unfinished bottle sealed with Vin O Vac and stored in the fridge for a couple of days. Out for a couple of hours before finishing the bottle. Kept getting better. Would definitely buy again.

Lovely black cherries. Paired with a dark chocolate Tim Tam, reminiscent of Black Forest Cake!

This is a wine that is heavily influenced by exterior forces. In my 002 Riedel glass it was one thing with my Performance Syrah glass the oak jumped out. My best results so far are from a long 24+ hour decant in the fridge. This is a darn good wine I need to get to know. It is borderline amazing so I am going to experiment with a few bottles. This is why I love wine it’s a winemaker getting …

On PnP this bad boy was aggressive. Big aromas of tapenade, sweaty gym shoes, and blood. My wife said "dirty Syrah" and I agree. Juicy on the palate, but this was anything but fruit forward. We screwed the cap back on and let it sit for a day which improved things tremendously. The dirtiness was still there but not so in-your-face as day 1. Black and blue fruits emerged to balance the wine out. The overall experience was ho-hum. I …

All the pro reviews are on it, it’s a very complex, cool-climate Shiraz, lots of savory olive and tea character, pistachio, metallic mineral. A lot going on but very compact, indicative of the hot and dry vintage, which gives it a scorched black fruit foundation that isn’t the generous ripeness you find in classic vintages. But listen, it’s really good, probably needs five years before you should be judging it.
