Tasted blind. An initially slightly reductive nose. The fruit shows intense dark berries, slightly jammy. Also vegetal elements of asparagus. The palate still a bit astringent, but the balance is ok. Decent but not more.

Celebrating Alice s birthday in Diessenhofen. Short 30 min devant. Medium ruby color. Cherries, ash, pepper, nice nose. Med acidity, med alcohol, med body, med flavor intensity, med tannins, med finish. Green pepper, red cherries, pepper, mint, subtle but I find this wine not fully integrated. I would either keep this a few more years or try decant for a few more hours. For reference I had La Germine 2011 from the same brothers a few days ago and this …

Bought in Vienne, France for 43euros, earthy with great complex flavors, mostly Syrah, around 13% abv, drank with a Savoie cheese and rack of lamb, love these Northern Rhone wines for their flavors and modest alcohol, CoteRotie wines seem much more expensive in the US than in France, would drink again, brought on a Viking river ship to drink.

NR DVR Fair, 3 % Viognier, like ointment and polished by oak flavors, vanilla and oak are showing there Good backbone, with light and elegant tannins, refined and serious wine, with a med+ length, growing in the palate with a vibrant acidity ... Once oak will be digested it should be a very nice wine indeed. 90/92 potential

Was an ok syrah. Nothing interesting but it is not ready. This is a hold for sure.

A delightful Syrah with plenty of complexity and vibrance. Nicely perfumed nose with sweet tobacco, toasted marshmallow/creme brûlée, wet leather, dried herbs, and Maraschino cherries. On the palate a slight medicinal quality with tart red fruits, dark chocolate, and moss/underbrush. Paired nicely with pork tenderloin with pomegranate & grape reduction.

Still dark and purple in the glass - looks quite young. White pepper and red fruits on the nose with classic Syrah notes - mint, violets and roasted meats. On the palate soft and silky, nice acids and very good structure. I think there is a little upside here - hold. for 2 years.

Nose is a little funky. Oaky. Really full mouth of bright fruit. Really smooth. Tasty wine. Very easy drinking. 4:5. Not super interesting but really yummy.
