Clear, medium colour depth. Slight tawny tinge, dark black cherry jam red 3 Rich fruity and spicy nose. Plum pudding? Mint, pepper. Crushed gum leaf, violets. 6.5 Full fruity flavour. Good balance. Nicely structured palate, the flavours develop and linger. Mild tannin, well integrated. Moderate acidity. Dry. Noticeable spirit heat, a bit of afterburn but not as much to be unpleasant. Classic grapeseed peppery spice lingers. 8.5 Well aged, at its prime now and ready to drink.
