Cellar door tasting. Bright red berry fruits evident, vanilla and spice, however all rather tart going through the palate. Not for me.

Winery visits Jan 2023; 1/13/2023-1/27/2023 (Vic, Tas) : {screwcap, 13.5%, A$110} Just 180 dozen made of this flagship pinot. Polished cranberry and smoky nose. Darker edged on the palate that the other pinots. Medium fine dusty tannins, medium weight, medium/long finish. This is a quietly aristocratic wine with its earthy texture and glowing fruit. Lovely – almost justifies the price!

Goes with 80% whole bunch and 100% new oak. Deep ruby in the glass. Reductive at first, but blends in with the fruit and oak quite fast. Some forest floor savouriness here complemented by ripe red fruit, blackberry, red plum. Seems simple at first, but with a bit of air this transforms into an elegant, easy-drinking, easily likeable Pinot.

Dark plum colour. Gorse on the nose, herbal, thyme. The palate has huge depth, it's spicy and long. Sadly, it finished with a little bitterness. I think it's still too young and maybe it will become more balanced in 2-3 years. It's expensive, so I'm not convinced at the moment. We've …

Good, but either needs lots of time or just isn't my style of Pinot structurally. Way overpriced!
